About Us

50 +
years of
experience
Sassy G Ranch didn’t happen overnight. It started small, with a few animals, a passion for ranch life, and a commitment to doing things right. What began as a humble operation rooted in love for animals and the land has grown steadily over the years into something far bigger than we ever imagined. Raised on opposite sides of the West, one in Oregon and one on a working California ranch where racehorses were bred, we both grew up with dirt under our boots and animals in our blood. Every fence post, every feed bucket, and every partnership along the way has been built with purpose, patience, and a whole lot of hard work.
The heart of Sassy G Ranch beats with over 50 years in the saddle and a lifetime of ranch experience between us. It all began in 4-H and FFA, where the fundamentals of horsemanship, animal care, and responsibility were instilled from the ground up, while across the state line, the foundations of ranch life were being learned firsthand among working horses and racehorses in California. Pony Club came next, opening the door to the discipline and precision of three-day eventing, a demanding sport that sharpened both horse and rider. From there, the journey expanded into the speed and excitement of barrel racing and western riding, before moving into the finesse and athleticism required in reining, and working horse competitions. Every discipline brought new skills, new challenges, and a deeper appreciation for the bond between horse and rider.
The ride didn’t stop there. The fast-paced world of gaming and gymkhana brought a sense of community and competition, while joining a drill team added an entirely new dimension of teamwork, timing, and precision on horseback. On the rodeo side, competitive team roping through high school brought its own brand of grit, skill, and camaraderie that only the arena can teach. Returning to Pony Club as a young adult offered fresh perspective and leadership, and new chapters continued to unfold, mastering the skill and patience of driving, and ultimately coming full circle back to three-day eventing. Through every phase and every discipline, riding for the pure pleasure of it has always remained at the core, a constant reminder of why it all started in the first place.
That depth of experience across so many disciplines isn’t just a personal story. It is the foundation of everything Sassy G Ranch stands for. With over 150 animals and a growing network of trusted supplier partnerships, we recognized a genuine need in our community for reliable access to quality tack, feed, and poultry supplies and made it a core part of what we offer. Every partnership we’ve formed, from Priefert to JT International and beyond, has been chosen with care and intention, because we know firsthand what it takes to run a ranch and how much the right supplies matter. What began as a dream has grown into a mission, and we are just getting started.
